  • Nanyang depression has complex subsurface geo-logic conditions and small fault block traps with area s smaller than1km 2 ,narrow oil-bearing zones and low fill factor.Exploratory drilling in small fault block traps is at high risk due to the complex reservoir conditions.The application of integrated3-D seismic interpretation techniques such as coherence cube,visualization and au-tomatic tracing of horizon improved the success rate of exploratory drilling in this area.Drilling in3small fault traps selected with this method in Nanyang depression discovered flow oil and gas.
