    Abstract
  • The developing trends of numerical simulation of 3Dhydraulic fracture are presented in this paper, includingpseudo -three-dimensional model and fully-three -dimensional model. The new tip screen -outtechnology and its mechanism,design method,applicationconditions and operating considerations are also discussed.Limitations in the current designs are pointed out. The 3Dfracture simulation, tip screen-out. and fracture heightgrowth control are suggested to be combined forinvestigation.
