A Study on Distribution Pattern of Borehole Pressure Drawdown in Under-balanced Drilling Operation

    Abstract
  • Based on analysis of the basic flowing pattern of borehole fluids during under-balanced drilling operation, a set of formula is presented for calculating pressure drawdowns in the annulus and drill strings. Calculation results show that they accurately reveal the distribution pattern of pressure in wellbore during under-balanced drilling operation.
