Abstract
The reservoirs of Yanchang formation of Mesozoic of Fu county and Binchang block in the south of Ordos basin are characterized by shallow burial depth and complex fracture morphology. Therefore , making clear of artificial fracture morphology is of important guiding significance for the deployment of exploration and development , as well as fracturing technology choices and fracturing design optimization. Through comprehensive research of rock mechanics parameters , the instantaneous pump pressure , reservoir heterogeneity and natural fracture , the analysis finds that when reservoir buried depth is less than 500 m , the hydraulic fracturing cracks are mainly horizontal fractures ; when the reservoir buried depth is more than 800 m , the hydraulic fracturing cracks are given priority to vertical fractures ; when the reservoir buried depth is between 500m and 800m , the horizontal and vertical fractures are likely to be formed.
