Study on the interlayer interference and production boundary in multiple-zone production for low-permeability oilfield

  • In order to grasp the situation about interlayer interference on the low permeability oilfield, the test area in which dual production with one well pattern has been selected as research object in Changqing oilfield. In the paper, two main factors, permeability ratio and interlayer pressure difference that affected interlayer interference by using a variety of production and test data have been analyzed and the co-production wells IPR curve has been established. The analysis results indicate as for low permeability oilfield, the interlayer interference caused by permeability max-min ratio is relatively small. In addition, the results find that the reservoir production in each layer is mainly affected by layer flow pressure difference. Therefore, conventional pump will be selected for commingled production when interlayer pressure is lower than 3 MPa, multiple-zone production technology will be selected when the pressure is greater than 3MPa. Based on this concept, the relationship of the flow pressure and production has been calculated. The following conclusions have been reached: Site on the upper and lower flow pressure testing and separate layer recovery results verify the correctness of this conclusion. The study is beneficial for exploring the similar reservoirs in Changqing oilfield.
