Soil Corrosion Analysis of 20~# Steel in Baolang Oilfield

    Abstract
  • Soil corrosion conditions of 20# steel in Baolang oilfield was studied through field buried sample tests in Baobei, Baozhong, Baonan, Benbutu and Zhongmachang blocks and by using microanalysis and electrochemical testing methods. Soil corrosion in Zhongmachang block is strong, while in other blocks are medium. Soil corrosion type of 20# steel in Baolang oilfield is oxygen depolarization corrosion controlled by cathodic reaction.SRB corrosion also exists in this oilfield.
