Geologic Features and Progressive Exploration Potential of Zhangdian Oilfield

  • Zhangdian oilfield has nosing fault structure.Reservoir distributions controlled by faults assume "imbricate form" in plane and" roof- like form" in section.Single oil -bearing sandbody show banded distribution with oil bearing height of 50 to 100m, width about 300m and area 0.2 to 0.3km2. Reservoir porosity is approximately 15%, permeability 0.15 - 0.2μm2. Based on studies of geologic features and oil and gas distribution pattern, additional 1.99 million tons of reserves is predicted in the fault blocks of Long 1, Nan 37 and Nan 38, 1.0 to 1.5million tons in area to the east of Well Zhang 16 and Nan 47, and 2.0 million tons in Baiqiu and Zhangmadian areas. Current proved reserves is 3.21million tons and predicted total resources potential is 10.0 to 12.0 million tons in this oilfield. The production capacity is expected to reach 0.8 to 1.0 million tons through progressive exploration.
