Influencing factors analysis of lower palaeozoic shale gas content in foreland fold thrust belts of south Dabashan,northeastern Chongqing

  • Shale gas content is a key indicator of shale gas resources potential evaluation and area selection.By taking shale gas reservoirs from lower Paleozoic strata of foreland fold- thrust belts of south Dabashan in northeastern Chongqing as the research target,based on the isothermal adsorption experiment of the cores,the influencing factors analysis of lower palaeozoic shale gas content from Shuijingtuo formation in lower Cambrian and from Wufeng formation in upper Ordovician- Maxi formation in lower Silurian has been carried out.The research results indicate the organic carbon content,total hydrocarbon content,quartz content,and formation pressure are the main controlling factors of shale gas content,and it has a good positive correlation with adsorbed gas content.There is also a certain positive correlation between pore throat radius,specific surface area and adsorbed gas content.
