Cementing technology and practice of salt gypsum layers in Iraq M oilfield
-
Abstract
The salt gypsum layers in Iraqi M oilfield has very strong creep characteristics under high temperature and high pressure in the deep underground, which is easy to cause sticking and difficult to guarantee the cementing quality. Therefore, the risk of wellbore collapse and fracture under different trajectories of salt gypsum layers is analyzed, and the trajectory of directional section, cementing slurry formula and construction parameters are optimized to improve the cementing quality of salt gypsum layers. The practical application shows that the optimized scheme successfully solves many technical problems of efficient exploitation of horizontal wells in M oilfield and even in the middle east, and provides an optimized solution for similar oilfield development.
