Petroleum Geologic Features and Exploration Prospect of Cenozoic in Binxian-yijun Area in the South of Erduosi Basin

Binxian-Yijun area is located in the transition zone between Yixia slope and Weibei uplift in the south of Erduosi basin. The dark mudstone and shale (oil shale) of deep lake - shallow lake subfacies in the Yanchang Formation have large thickness, favorite organic mater type, high organic abundance and maturity and favorite hydrocarbon generation conditions. The mouth bar, distal bar, turbidite sandstone and paleochannel sandstone of Jurassic in T3Y4 and the upper of layer Chang 6 are the main reservoir types. The multiple source-reservoir-cap rock combinations in vertical and the multiple trap types provide favorable conditions for enrichment of hydrocarbon. Thus petroleum exploration prospect is bright in Cenozoic in this area. Favorable reservoir facies tracts and local structures develop in the southeast the main directional area of hydrocarbon migration. Lithologic-structural combination traps are the main exploration types.
