Application of enhanced recovery technique in thin oil layers—Take the heavy oil reservoir of J3q3 layers in J_3q_3 well area of Karamay oilfield as an example

  • Heavy oil reservoir of Qigu formation J3q3 in J391 well area of Karamay oilfield is characterized by small reservoir thickness. In order to enhance the oil recovery, different kinds of new technology such as cold production, horizontal production, infilling and steamed pilot flooding have been put into application, which in the end improved heavy oil recovery of thin layers, realized the efficient development of the whole area and enhanced the reserves. Meanwhile, the application of enhanced recovery technology provided significant meanings and useful guidance for heavy oil development of the similar kind.
