Relationship between water absorption profile changes and well group oil increment before and after profile control in Dagang oilfield

Abstract
In order to explore the reasons of oil increment in beneficial oil wells after profile control from the reservoir point of view, the changes of water absorption profile before and after profile control were divided into three different types by selecting the data of suction profile. The changes of suction profile before and after profile adjustment were analyzed and the relationship between different changes and profile control and oil increment was studied. The results show that there is a significant correlation between the type of water absorption layers and oil increment before and after profile adjustment. After profile control, there is a certain correlation between the number of water-absorbing layers and the amount of oil increment, but there is a nonlinear positive correlation. There was no correlation between the heterogeneous change of water absorption intensity and oil increment after profile control.
