Properties of Low Resistivity Reservoirs and Production Potential Tapping——Taking Gudong Oilfield as An Exam-

  • Based on exploration and production practices in the low resistivity reservoirs in Gudong oilfield in recent years, the forming conditions of low resistivity reservoirs are introduced in respects of sedimentary features, sealing conditions, migration pathways and trap types. Identification criteria for low resistivity oil layers are established based on the knowledge acquired in study of the low resistivity reservoirs in Gudong oilfield, and production potential tapping methods are presented with respects to progressive exploration and production and additional perforation in old wells. It is proposed that a set of logging e-valuation criteria for low resistivity reservoirs should be established by using lateral resistivity logging inversion technologies and high resolution logging processing technologies, thus low resistivity oil layers in new wells can be correctly evaluated.
