Technical Solution of Steam Huff and Puff of Edge Wa- ter-out Layers

  • In the long process of blowdown through steam huff and puff in heavy oil reservoirs with a degassed crude viscosity over 10,000 mPa ?s at in situ temperature, edge water advancement that is resulted from pressure fall - off has caused, water cut of oil wells in water- out area going up abruptly, production lowering and serious resource wasting. Steam huff and puff experiments in the edge water - out oil layers have been carried out in Well 1254 and 2107 in Jinglou oilfield. Experiments results show that relative good steam huff and puff effects and economic benefits can be achieved in edge water - out heavy oil layers no thinner than 8m through optimization of perforation and injection - production parameters and by applying production mode of short cycle steam injection and short cycle production.
