Application of P wave impedance inversion in reservoir prediction of Chunguang exploration area

Abstract
With the deepening exploration in Chunguang exploration area, the lithologic structure types of lithologic reservoirs are more complex and changeable, in addition of great changes of sandstone physical properties, the difficulty and multiple solutions of finding lithologic reservoirs by using amplitude attributes are becoming larger and larger, it is needed to explore more effective reservoir prediction methods. Using P wave impedance inversion technique to study on reservoir prediction in Chunguang exploration area, the applicability and application effect of P wave impedance inversion technique was analyzed in this area. The results indicate the technique can improve the exactitude of reservoir prediction under complex lithologic structure conditions, improve the accuracy of high quality reservoir identification, and reduce the multiple solutions of lithologic trap identification, which can effectively promote the exploration of lithologic reservoirs in this area.
