Research on low-permeability sandstone reservoir damage evaluation technology in western Sichuan

  • Low permeability oil and gas resources in western Sichuan are abundant, however, due to tight base blocks and differently developed fractures, the reservoirs are apt to be damaged. By the use of the conventional method, the correct reservoir damage evaluation can not be made, and new reservoir damage evaluation technology of low permeability sandstone needs to be explored. Therefore, the pressure attenuation method, weakening the time effect of fractured reservoir damage evaluation method, stress sensitivity coefficient evaluation method, phase trapping damage coefficient method and evaluation method of characteristics have been introduced in this paper. The establishment of a series of evaluation methods overcome the time consuming of conventional method for the measurement in low permeability reservoir and high requirements on experimental apparatus, which can provides effective and accurate technical support for reservoir damage evaluation.
