A Discussion on Management of Electronic Files of Petroleum Exploration and Development

Wide application of computer technology in petroleum exploration and development has been producing large amount electronic files of exploration and development. Electronic files had the characteristics of being serial, episodic, specialized and dynamic. Some specific management methods are presented in respects of filing, contents and entity protection. Several effective measures are proposed to save data, transform paper files into electronic files and solve the problem of coexistence of electronic files and paper files.
