Main controlling factors and exploring direction of large area lithologic reservoir distribution of southern Ordos basin

Based on study analysis of source rock distribution,structure characteristics,sand bodies' distribution,hydrocarbon accumulation assemblages,fault-fracture systems,etc.,the main controlling factors of large area lithologic reservoir were obtained,namely,widely developed source rock and reservoir sand bodies,gently structural characteristics,valid fault-fracture systems and favorable hydrocarbon ac-cumulation assemblages.On the basis of the study results,in combination with the prospecting degree of various blocks,three classification levels-strategy development,strategy breakthrough and strategy preparation of 18 exploration blocks were put forward.
