Discussion on injection-EOR relationship of heavy oil polymer flooding in Gucheng oilfield

By simulating the geological conditions of heavy oil reservoir and through the experiment,the discussion on potential of enhancing oil recovery with common polymer has been carried out.The peak resistance coefficient and polymer increment oil per unit have been provided to analyze the displacement characteristics of polymer.The coordination between the polymer injection concentration and polymer injection PV number has been discussed.The polymer flooding recovery " abnormal value" has been also analyzed.Lab experiments results indicate the reservoir pore microstructure is the direct reason of " abnormal value".There may exist a suitable polymer injection concentration and the number of PV scope so as to achieve the maximum EOR and the revised recovery rate can more accurately reflect the EOR effects.
