Application of rock pyrolysis logging data in shale oil&gas horizontal well geosteering

Traditional horizontal geosteering relies more on lithology,gas logging,drilling and logging data.Based on the analysis of the value of rock pyrolysis logging data,organic matter characteristics of vertical and horizontal profiles,and various rock pyrolysis logging data,the rock pyrolysis logging S2 data for shale oil&gas horizontal well geosteering has been put forward.In this paper,the application of rock pyrolysis logging data in the selection " correlation marker layer",the geosteering of horizontal section with and without the reference well has been introduced,and corresponding suggestions have also been provided for analyzing the density of rock pyrolysis logging.
