An Analysis of Reservoir- forming Conditions of Yaken Structure in Kuche Depression
-
Abstract
Yaken structure in Kuche depression has favorable geological conditions for hydrocarbon accumulation. As Judged by its location in the geological structure, it should have the potential to form large pools and preliminary prospecting results reveal that this structure is gas rich. The Jurassic and Triassic in the depression are source rocks; several sets of reservoirs and reservoir -seal combinations exist in formations from Paleogene to Cretaceous; anticlines and faulted anticlines are the main trap types; fractures and unconformities are the main channels for hydrocarbon migration; and the time of the structure formation coincides with the time of hydrocarbon generation and migration.
