The Relationship Between Structural Deformation and Hydrocarbon in Kashi Depression,Tarim Basin

  • The complex structural deformation in Cashi depres-sion was the product of thrust nappe structural movement.As a result of NS trend regional compressive stress field,several structural deformation zones developed in different regions under the influence of regional structural boundary and the differences of structural locations.From west to east and from north to south,there exist a ramp compres-sion deformation zone in the western area,a recoil com-pression deformation zone in the northern part of the east-ern area,a lateral compression depression zone in the cen-tral and southern part of the eastern area and a shear wrench movement deformation zone in the central part of the eastern area.The highly developed thrust nappe struc-ture with a gypsum layer at the bottom of Neogene acting as floor detachment surface is a thin-skinned structure and form the advancing thrust front or the recoil fold belt of frontal outer zone.The regionalization of structural defor-mation and differentiation of shallow structural deformation have large influence on hydrocarbon migration and accumu-lation in this region.
