Reservoir crack characteristics and its effect on development in Yaoyingtai oilfield

The crack is one of the seepage paths in Yaoyingtai oilfield, and its complex distribution has an important impact on the development and production of the oilfield. Based on the regional research of stress, the core structural analysis and imaging logging observation, combined with outcrop data and production performance of oil wells, the developmental characteristics of the cracks, the formation mechanism and controlling factors in the region have been analyzed. By forecasting crack growth characteristics and distribution of Yaoyingtai oilfield, the impact study of crack injection has been carried out. In order to prevent the intense water flooded of oil wells, the injection and production well pattern should be adjusted in different development stages.
