Development difficulties and effective development strategies of offshore oilfields with low porosity, low permeability and low single reserve factor

There are more and more low-grade and difficult-to-extract reserves in the undeveloped reserves of offshore oilfields. Restricted by environmental, economic and technical conditions, the development of offshore three-low oilfields, low porosity, low permeability and low single reserve factor, started late and has not yet reached the stage of scale and effective development. Based on the in-depth analysis of the geological reservoir characteristics of the offshore three-low oilfields, the main production characteristics of the developed oil fields and the difficulties in the development process are summarized. Combined with the conditions and current situation of offshore development, some effective development strategies were put forward, such as popularizing the technology of long horizontal well and multi-branch well, the organic combination of single well fracturing and integral fracturing, implementing reasonable waterflood development mode and effective development strategies such as whole-process reservoir protection, so as to provide support for exploring the effective development mode of offshore three-low oilfields.
