Main controlling factors of hydrocarbon accumulation and prospecting potential of west member in Shazhong tectonic belt

After 30 years of exploration in west member of Shazhong tectonic belt,the reserve scale became smaller.Based on the analysis of the whole structure and tectonic evolution characteristics,the main controlling factors of hydrocarbon accumulation in that area have been summarized.Research shows that the main reason for not achieving commercial breakthrough in the area is the poor trap conditions and poor reservoir development of Shahejie formation.Another reason is the difference on hydrocarbon generation ability between Xiciwa and Nanciwa.Through the research on the influence of structure on sedimentary system,the local structural transition zone of the west member in Shahzong tectonic belt and the near provenance direction in the north are considered to be the favorable parts for good reservoir enrichment,with good trap conditions and great exploration potential.
