Analysis and Calculation of Oil Well Pump Efficiency

Based on analysis of the traditional view that pumpefficiency is determined by solution gas in crude andsubmergence depth of oil well pump, this paper pointsout that key influential factors of pump efficiency is notsolution gas in crude oil but cavitation of crude in pumpchamber. Pump efficiency calculation formula are deriredand methods are given to improve pump efficiencythrough changing swabbing parameters.
