Features of Fluid Pressure Compartment in Carboniferous and Permian in Bashituo Structure and Its Significance in Petroleum Exploration

  • Bashituo structure developed mainly in Hercynian period. Hydrocarbon enriched and oil(gas) accumulation formed in Carboniferous and Permian in Bashituo structure during late Hercynian. Rapid subsidence during Himalayan period resulted in a fluid pressure compartment on the basis of paleo -accumulation in Bashituo structure. This paper describes the development features and genesis of the fluid pressure compartment and its significance in oil and gas exploration.
