Prediction of minimum miscible pressure in northern block of Jiangsu

  • As an important reference for measuring the miscibility and non-miscibility of carbon dioxide displacement, the minimum miscibility pressure became one of the important research topics. The minimum miscible pressure measured in the experiment is accurate, but it is time-consuming and costly. In order to improve the application efficiency, many scholars at home and abroad have established the minimum miscible pressure prediction chart based on experimental data. By investigating 18 mainstream empirical formulas at home and abroad, the main influencing factors are temperature and hydrocarbon components. Based on this, seven wells were selected from the experimental test wells in the northern block of Jiangsu, and their experimental data were substituted into the empirical correlation formula for comparative analysis. According to the actual situation, the prediction chart of the minimum miscible pressure in northern block of Jiangsu was fitted and substituted it into H-well for verification. The results show that the minimum miscible pressure obtained by the predicted correlation is 27.98, and the error with the actual measured value is only 4.80%.The predicted correlation can provide a reference for further exploration of carbon dioxide.
