Exploration of Peripheral Micro - structural Traps in Gudong Oilfield

Subtle reservoirs have become important exploration targets along with the exploration degrees go higher in each oil region. Micro - structural trap reservoir is a special reservoir type that stands between ordinary reservoirs and subtle reservoirs. There are three reservoir - forming modes of micro - structural traps including anticline micro - structures, fault - nose micro - structures and fault block micro - structures as well as compound micro -structural trap reservoirs such as lithologic - micro - anticline structural trap reservoirs. This paper introduces the exploration experiences in respects of data requirements, fine interpretation of 3D data, oil - bearing property analysis and trap evaluation.
