Controlling factors of gas accumulation in Carboniferous Kalashayi Formation of Sangtamu area

Abstract
In order to further investigate the controlling factors of gas accumulation in Carboniferous Kalashayi formation of Sangtamu area in Tahe oilfield, the comprehensive analysis was carried out from four aspects, namely structure, sand bodies, fracture and unconformity surface. The results indicated the higher location of structure was favorable for oil and gas accumulation, the fracture was the main channel for vertical migration of Ordovician oil and gas,and the lateral sand body connectivity was the key of oil and gas lateral migration.Affected by transformation, the lateral connectivity between T50 unconformity surface and basal conglomerate was higher and it was easy to form rich accumulation of oil and gas.
