Application analysis of wellbore viscosity reduction technology of super heavy oil in Chunguang oilfield

  • In the process of super heavy oil recovery in Chunguang oilfield, with the decreased temperature of wellbore, the viscosity of crude oil was constantly increasing, the flowability became worse and the difficulty in wellbore lifting became bigger. To solve the problems in wellbore lifting of super heavy oil recovery in Chunguang oilfield, the technique principles were introduced, such as the casing with steam for viscosity reduction technique, the hollow rod electric heating technique, the casing with emulsion and the casing with diluting for viscosity reduction technique. Through a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of different viscosity reduction techniques, after process optimization, a wellbore viscosity reduction technology system, namely ‘casing with diluting as the priority, remote well electric heating and the casing with emulsion for load abnormal wells as the minority', which satisfied the production needs of super heavy oil recovery in Chunguang oilfield.
