Research on shale oil and gas reserves and production prediction methods

Great breakthrough has been obtained in staged fracturing technology of horizontal wells,which greatly promotes the quick shale gas and oil development at home and abroad,especially in North America.Shale gas and oil reservoirs are usually belong to fractured oil and gas reservoirs.Complex reservoir bodies formed by matrix,natural fractures and artificial fractures will diversify reserving space and seepage channels.Therefore,the prediction methods of shale oil andgas reserves and production are different from conventional oil reservoirs.Through production decline analysis and recovery prediction methods of shale gas and oil reserves in America,preliminary disccusion on corresponding problems have been carried out,which is of good guidance for shale gas and oil reserves production prediction and evaluation in China.
