Breccia characteristics and reservoir identification in the eastern steep slope of Leijia area

  • The main sedimentary type of the eastern steep slope zone in Leijia area is the nearshore subaqueous fan with a large number of breccias. By means of lithology mineral identification and carbonate analysis, the breccia is divided into limy-bearing breccia, limy breccia and sedimentary volcanic breccia. The reservoir space is mainly composed of breccia inter-porosity, pores, dissolution holes and fractures, which are extralow porosity and extra-low permeability reservoirs. Combining with logging response, the intersection of log curves GR and AC, GR intersect with RT can effectively classify breccia reservoir from other lithology. The distribution of breccia reservoir can be predicted by seismic facies features and wave impedance inversion, which provides a basis for breccia exploration in this area.
