Application of oil-gas reservoir formation models in lithologic trap prediction and evaluation——take the case of GS area as an example

After the transition of exploration stage from structural reservoirs to lithologic reservoirs,accumulation rules such as oil and gas generating conditions,distribution characteristics of reservoirs,migration direction,etc should be summarized.It is predicted that,in the main direction of oil and gas migration,areas where reservoirs are well developed are favorable for the accumulation lithologic traps.Under the guidance of this thought,lithologic traps identified by seismic data were evaluated in GS region,and a well was drilled.The result suggests that the predicted lithologic reservoir coincides with drilling one.Lithologic reservoirs evaluation under the guidance of oil-gas reservoir formation models improves the reliability of hydrocarbon accumulation conditions of lithologic traps.
