Application of hydraulic pulsating-cavitation jet drilling technology in medium hard formation

  • At present,the medium hard formation in Henan oilfield has the characteristics of low rate of penetration,long drilling cycle and high drilling cost.In order to solve these problems,hydraulic plusating-cavitation jet drilling technology has been adopted.Based on the theroy study of hydraulic plusating-cavitation jet drilling technology,analytical research on formation and field construction parameters has been carried out.Through field testing,the generator,drilling assembly and the hydaulic parameters have been optimized.Field application of 4 wells indicates the hydraulic plusating-cavitation jet drilling technology is capable of improving drilling speed in medium hard formation.Compared with the rate of penetration,the speed is improved by an average of 16.24%and a new technology for medium hard formation in Henan oilfield with safe drilling and high speed has been formed and the problem of low ROP have been solved.
