Application of hydraulic pulsating-cavitation jet drilling technology in medium hard formation

At present,the medium hard formation in Henan oilfield has the characteristics of low rate of penetration,long drilling cycle and high drilling cost.In order to solve these problems,hydraulic plusating-cavitation jet drilling technology has been adopted.Based on the theroy study of hydraulic plusating-cavitation jet drilling technology,analytical research on formation and field construction parameters has been carried out.Through field testing,the generator,drilling assembly and the hydaulic parameters have been optimized.Field application of 4 wells indicates the hydraulic plusating-cavitation jet drilling technology is capable of improving drilling speed in medium hard formation.Compared with the rate of penetration,the speed is improved by an average of 16.24%and a new technology for medium hard formation in Henan oilfield with safe drilling and high speed has been formed and the problem of low ROP have been solved.
