Permeability evaluation technology of sand-shale thin in-ter-bedded reservoir in the west of the south China sea

  • Sand-shale thin inter-bedded layers of western oilfield of south China sea haves characteristics of strong heterogeneity and complex relationship of porosity and permeability,by using nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)logging and imaging logging data,a new method of testing permeability heterogeneous of thin sand-shale inter-bedded has been established.By obtaining effective reservoir thickness of thin inter-bedded within a certain interval,the reservoir type and the intrinsic permeability can be identified and calculated.Through analysis of logging,formation testing and DST data of drilled wells,the method has proved to be reliable.The method can be applied to rapid capacity evaluation after open hole logging,and as for exploration well or appraisal well,the method can provide testing decision-making and perforation position for operators with minimum cost.
