Contrast analysis research of the low permeability reservoir stress sensitivity test by using gas and liquid

  • The cores of a Xinjiang low permeability reservoir are used as the research object,which are tested for stress sensitivity by using Nitrogen and simulative formation water.The reservoir permeability harm rate has been obtained and a comparative study with such two measurement methods has been taken.Experimental results show that the lower the permeability of the block is,the more the permeability loss likely to occur,and the loss of permeability is irreversible; the two measurement methods overall basic agreement while they have a certain deviation.Therefore,in the process of the low permeable oilfield development,it is necessary to do the stress sensitivity research,and replace liquid with gas when it requires reaching a greater pressure in stress sensitivity evaluation experiment of a low permeability reservoir.
