Application of colored inversion technology in overseas evaluation of A oilfield

  • Colored inversion is a new technique of seismic inversion under the constraint of frequency domain logging. The core of the technique is to design a matching operator to match the seismic spectrum with the wave impedance spectrum of the well. This technique has the advantages of no initial model, little interference and fast computation speed, which is especially suitable for overseas exploration project evaluation with problems of little drilling and short research time. The practical application of overseas A oilfield shows that the low pass frequency is the key parameter affecting the matching operator, and the inversion results, on the basis of retaining the original geological characteristics of seismic data, can increase the high frequency information of logging data and improve the resolution of the inversion results. Aiming at the characteristics of relatively low P wave impedance of oil layers in the study area, the oil layers can be characterized and identified quickly and clearly by quantitative calibration. New drillings in 2017 confirmed that the reservoir interpretation results are reliable.
