Research on the effect of vertical heterogeneity on oil displacement efficiency in the reverse rhythm reservoir with bottom water

  • Heterogeneity is the result of the comprehensive effect of reservoir deposition and diagenesis in the geological process. It is an important influential factor of oil and gas production, the ultimate recovery and economic efficiency. The research based on three permeability parameters such as coefficient of permeability variation, coefficient of permeability dash and permeability differential, characterizing the strength of vertical heterogeneity in reservoir quantitatively, analyzing the effect of the vertical heterogeneity on remaining oil saturation, incremental law of water cut and degree of reserve recovery in reverse rhythm reservoir with bottom water by use of numerical simulation method. Then the effect law of vertical heterogeneity on oil displacement efficiency can be summarized.
