Research on Inaccessible Pore Volume and Polymer Molecular Weight Selection

Abstract
The hydraulic diameter of polymer (HPAM) molecula and their inaccessible pore volume in rocks of different permeabilities are measured by using the micropore filtering method. On the basis of this, the paper studies the relationships between polymer molecular size and rock permeability and presents a method for reasonablely selecting polymer molecular size and weight which can guide the design optimization of polymer flooding.
