Palaeocurrent direction new understanding of Dong 2 member reservoir in Bohai Suizhong oilfield

Located in Liaodong Bay area of Bohai sea,Suizhong oilfield is a large river delta facies offshore heavy oil field,and the target layer Dong 2nd member is well developed,with superimposed reservoir sand bodies.At present,the oilfield development has entered the later period and it is necessary to carry out fine sand body description under the guidance of the palaeocurrent direction.In combination of exploration well and development well data,by taking I oil group of Dong 2nd member as an example,through sandstone detrital components analysis,various types of heavy mineral analysis and sandstone distribution characteristics of the whole area,the palaeocurrent direction of sedimentary sandbodies in Dong 2nd member has been discussed in detail.The research results indicate besides palaeocurrent from northwest direction in this area,there are strong currents from north east and south,and the sedimentary sand bodies are with multiple palaeocurrent direction.
