Application of interlayer modeling technology for reservoir of thick layers in Anpeng main area

  • Aiming at the problem that the conventional modeling method cannot accurately describe the distribution of interlayer in thick reservoir, which restricts the prediction of remaining oil and the formulation of development plan, a new modeling technology of interlayer in thick reservoir is proposed by using high-resolution geological information of drilling. Taking the Ⅳ_2 layer of the third member of Hetaoyuan formation in the Anpeng main area in Zhaowa oilfield as an example, by adjusting the sand shale layer position and taking the top and bottom of sandstone as a new layer, the distribution of sand body interlayer is depicted. Both of the facies–constraint–facies method and the sequential indicator modeling technology are used to predict the arrangement of interlayers. On the basis of this model, the physical property distribution model established by the phase control parameter modeling technology is highly consistent with the physical property characteristics of the reservoir deposited by the underwater fan, which can objectively reflect the spatial distribution of the reservoir interlayer and lay a solid foundation for the follow-up reservoir engineering.
