Application of reservoir architecture element in reservoir geology study

Based on architecture element analysis of several oilfields in Shengli petroleum province , the author analyzes the application of architecture element analysis to the studies on reservoir heterogeneity , reservoir correlation , microstucture , volume calculation and remaining oil prediction.The author puts forward that reservoir architecture element analysis is an advanced means of studying on reservoir heterogeneity through researching on combination modes and contact relationship between elements.Reservoir architecture element analysis can effectively guide reservoir division and correlation , and the reservoir study becomes deeper in vertical and horizontal directions.Microstructure study of a single element can make the structural characteristics clear by getting rid of'layer model'.Volume calculation becomes more accurate if different parameters are used according to different elements.And oil-displacement efficiency varies among elements because of different physical properties.Therefore , remaining oil enrichment area can be predicted.
