Abstract: By use of ichnological and sedimentological ana1yzing methods, this paper studies the composition of ichnofossils in the coal and oil bearing Tanzhuang Formation of Upper Triassic and. the features of their sedimentary enviroments and established three kinds of ichnofabrics.They include Stipsellus ichnofabric occurred in middle to low energy alluvial enviroments, Skolithos ichnofabric formed in shoal lake enviroment and Chondrites ichnofabric appeared in semideep lake or lake bay enviroments.
