Abstract: Kendong region is a new hydrocarbon exploration field in central and southern Bohai Bay basin.In order to study the tectonic characteristics and hydrocarbon accumulation rules of Kendong region,and look for advantaged traps,the research related with the tectonic evolution history of Kendong region and the influence of tectonic evolution on deposit have been analyzed.In combination with the study on the geology, geophysics and geochemistry of Kendong region,the tectonic evolution history shows that Kendong arch and northern slope zone experienced three stages:pre- rift period, rifting period and post - rift period.So the stratum shows three - layer structure in lengthways.The deposit characteristics was controlled by the tectonic evolution,and different deposit types and deposit systems were developed in the region.
