Abstract: By use of drilling core and analytical chemical data,in combination with the theory and methods of petrology and reservoir geology,the study on volcanic rock types of Nanpu depression in Paleogene and Neogene,the time-space distribution and hydrocarbon accumulation has been carried out.The results indicate the magmatic rock of Nanpu depression can be divided into two categories,intrusive rock and extrusive rock 10 lithologies in all.The whole evolution process can be divided into 2 cycles and 4 eruption curtains,generally with north-south direction.Early volcanic rocks possess reservoir-forming conditions and the accumulation factors are related with reservoir space of volcanic rocks,while the late volcanic rocks are regarded as good cap rocks.Therefore,the study is of great practical and theoretical value for volcanic rock exploration of Nanpu depression.
