Abstract: VSP logging,a quickly developed technology in recent years,plays an important role in extracting seismic parame-ters such as geologic formation,formation velocity and seis-mic wavelet. Compared with conventional seismic technolo-gy,VSP has the characteristic of high accuracy. Based on the analysis of the technical principles and technical advanta-ges of VSP logging technology,seismic data collection,pro-cessing and interpretation and relative geologic study on some complicated fault-blocks of Jinzhou oilfields have been carried out. Through the analysis,the structures have been reconfirmed,the space distribution rule of the reservoir in horizontal and vertical direction have been found out,the reservoir distribution characteristics and oil-water relation-ship have been analyzed,which provides guidance for reser-voir evaluation of complicated fault-block and well site de-ployment. In the end,the research has acquired favorable exploratory development effect and will have a good prospect of application and popularization.
