Abstract: Many basins in China are of abundant shale gas resources and good development prospects,while the research related with it has started later than others.This paper mainly introduces the demonstration base of shale gas,research progress,research technology,equipment status and the present situation of exploration and development.Besides that,it also analyzes the"bottleneck"for the shale gas development in China.The analysis results point out in order to realize economic and effective development of shale gas,technical force must be organized and the key technology system suitable for geological conditions in our country should be set up.The national production is expected to be reached to 65 x 108 m3 in 2015.
