Abstract: Medium-Small Mesozoic and Cenozoic basins in thethe North China platform activation after Indosinianmovement. Three main basin types developed aredownwarping basins, fault sag basins and fault basinsduring the Indosinian movement, Yanshan movement andHimalayan movement periods. And the correspondingsedimentary formation may be divided into severalstructural layers of Triassic, Jurassic - Mesozoic, lowerPaleogene, upper Paleogene-Quaternary. There aredifferent oil and gas reservoirs in the different basin types:Structural reservoirs should be mainly sought indownwarping basins, structural -lithologic in fault sagbasins, and lithologic reservoirs in fault basins.
