Application of seismic sand bodies recognition and interpretation in lithological reservoirs exploration in Chepaizi area

The present petroleum exploration status has trended from structural reservoirs to lithologic and stratigraphic reservoirs. The paper takes Chunguang oilfield of Chepaizi area as an example, briefly introduces the principles and the methods of seismic sands interpretation. Starting from the well, making calibration horizon by synthetic seismic and forward modeling, sand bodies' recognition has been carried out in the stratigraphic framework. Sedimentary systems and sands boundary are graven by the plane distribution of sands bodies. In the end, there are total 8 effective traps have been identified.
